Welcome to “Pīwaka”

We are a privately owned early learning centre nestled in the heart of Glen Eden and have been part of many families lives since 2005.

Our number one objective is to provide high quality early childhood education and care

Being so close to the Glen Eden village, the Glen Eden rail hub and the West Coast Road, is a great plus for many of our working parents.

Our teaching team are 90% certified Early Childhood Teachers. Many of our teachers have been with us a long time, they are experienced, passionate professionals who specialise in providing the best education and care for every child.

Specialist Rooms

A very important benefit allowing your child to transition at their own pace.  Teaching and resources are age appropriate.

Children are viewed as competent, capable learners.

They engage in learning-focused relationships with kaiako, who provide a curriculum consistent with Te Whāriki, the early childhood curriculum. The curriculum is aligned to the service’s priorities for learning. The service’s philosophy is lived and visible in the centre.”
